Application
Methylene Chloride, Dichloromethane (DCM, or methylene chloride) is an organic compound with the formula CH2Cl2. MDC is a clear, colourless, volatile liquid nonflammable, volatile liquid chlorinated hydrocarbon with a sweet, pleasant smell. This with a moderately sweet aroma is widely used as a solvent. MDC is miscible with many organic solvents. Its primarily used as a solvent in paint removers, but is also used in aerosol formulations, as a solvent degreaser.
