Zinc nitrate is white, crystalline salt. Zinc nitrate is an inorganic chemical having formula Zn(NO3)2 . Zinc nitrate is highly deliquescent and is typically encountered as a hexahydrate Zn(NO3)2•6H2O.Zinc Nitrate is a highly deliquescent substance which is usually prepared by dissolving zinc in nitric acid. It can be used as a mordant in dyeing.
Application
Used to synthesize a new microporous, organically templated zinc phosphate. Such compounds have potential applications as catalysts or in other applications involving microporosity.
