Trisodium phosphate (TSP) is the inorganic compound with the chemical formula Na3PO4. It is a white, granular or crystalline solid, highly soluble in water, producing an alkaline solution. TSP is used as a cleaning agent, builder, lubricant, food additive, stain remover, and degreaser.
Application
Trisodium phosphate dodecahydrate can be used in the textile, printing and dyeing, paper, power generation, chemical industry and it is often used as water softener and boiler cleaning agent, it is also used as metal rust agent, reactive dye fixing agent, phosphating agent of steel containers, juice purification agents .
Dosage
Dissolve half a cup of TSP in two gallons of warm water, resulting in a slightly cloudy, odorless solution.
To combat mold and mildew, a stronger batch of one cup of TSP to three quarts of warm water, plus a quart of chlorine bleach, may be used.
