Sodium Iodide 20% is for use in cattle as an aid in treating actinomycosis (lumpy jaw),
actinobacillosis (wooden tongue) and necrotic stomatitis in cattle.
Application
Sodium iodide is an iodide salt that is formed into an injectable medicine. Sodium iodide is used to treat or prevent iodine deficiency caused by poor nutrition or poor absorption by the body. Sodium iodide may also be used to treat a thyroid disorder.
Dosage
The body needs iodine for normal growth and health. For patients who are unable to get enough iodine in their regular diet or who have a need for more iodine, sodium iodide may be necessary. Iodine is needed so that your thyroid gland can function properly.
