Phosphotungstic Acid LR/AR is a chemical compound which is most commonly utilized as a homogenous catalyst for various reactions.Phosphotungstic Acid LR/AR appears as white to yellowish green crystalline powder with a melting point of about 89 degrees Celsius.
Application
Phosphotungstic acid is used in histology as a component for staining of cell specimens, often together with haematoxylin as PTAH. It binds to fibrin, collagen, and fibres of connective tissues, and replaces the anions of dyes from these materials, selectively decoloring them.
Dosage
In aqueous solution, phosphoric acid behaves as a triprotic acid, having three ionizable hydrogen atoms. an extremely weak acid. Salts of phosphoric acid can be formed by replacing one, two or three of the hydrogen ions.
