Often found in mouthwashes, toothpaste, balms, and a host of other products, menthol is the primary active ingredient in essential oil of peppermint that provides the familiar cooling sensation and minty odor and taste. Menthol crystals are produced by rapidly cooling the essential oil of peppermint.
Application
Used in aromatherapy, Menthol Crystals promote easier breathing, temporarily relieve nasal congestion, soothe sore throats, alleviate fever symptoms, coughs, headaches, and sinus discomforts, support immunity, and stabilize the emotions.
Dosage
menthol in it may cause some reactions in your body, most especially in your brain. Because it's effective in alleviating cold symptoms, it's a household item. On no condition should anyone apply this ointment to a humidifier.
