L-alanine is the L-enantiomer of alanine. It has a role as an EC 4.3. 1.15 (diaminopropionate ammonia-lyase) inhibitor and a fundamental metabolite. It is a pyruvate family amino acid, a proteinogenic amino acid, a L-alpha-amino acid and an alanine.
Application
Alanine is an amino acid that is used to make proteins. It is used to break down tryptophan and vitamin B-6. It is a source of energy for muscles and the central nervous system. It strengthens the immune system and helps the body use sugars.
