Diethyl phthalate uses
Diethyl phthalate is used as a plasticizer in a wide variety of consumer products, including plastic packaging films, cosmetic formulations, and toiletries, as well as in medical treatment tubing. As a result of its use, human exposure to diethyl phthalate is expected to be signi- ficant.
Application
Diethyl Phthalate is an odorless, colorless, oily liquid. It is used in making plastics, insecticides, cosmetics and aspirin, and is found in toothbrushes, automobile parts, toys, tools, and food packaging
Dosage
Diethyl phthalate appears as a clear, colorless liquid without significant odor. More dense than water and insoluble in water. Hence sinks in water.
