Chromium trioxide is an inorganic substance with a molecular formula of CrO3 and a molecular weight of 99.99. It is dark red or dark purple orthorhombic crystal, easy to deliquesce. For the production of chromium compounds, oxidants, catalysts, in addition to wood preservation, electroplating, and so on. Is prepared by the reaction of concentrated sulfuric acid and potassium dichromate.
